On 20th July, Cheltenham Lacrosse hosted the first ever Lacrosse tournament in collaboration with the Cheltenham 7's Festival.

Both the Women's and Men's rules competitions were hotly contested with strong teams and talent from around the country.

The Women's tournament saw the 3-team tie heading into the playoff rounds with the Ringers and Bristol Bombers fighting it out with Cheltenham themselves.

Bristol ended up the winners with 2 wins, which Cheltenham beat the Ringers in a golden goal game with a scorcher of a shot from Lydia Wood.

The Men's competition saw the final being played between hosts Cheltenham and the mighty Fighting Pandas. Both teams headed into the final unbeaten and even though Cheltenham's goalkeeper Dan Martin played an absolute blinder to try and keep the team in the game, the team with the more healthy number of international caps on their side came out the winners!

Huge congratulations to Fighting Pandas and Bristol Bombers for their wins!

And a big thank you to the other teams for supporting the tournament and making sure lacrosse was the biggest winner of the day!!
