Cheltenham Lacrosse Club was originally formed in the Summer of 2006, a mere 10 years after the first game of Lacrosse was played in Gloucestershire by a then hastily put together team of an eager group of amateur players from the then College of Higher Education based at the Park Campus in Cheltenham.

The club unfortunately folded in 2013, but a committed group of players were able to reform the team and it is now in its strongest position yet.
Cheltenham Lacrosse have two main Teams, Men's and Women's, but are also hoping to create a junior development team in the near future, which should see the game of Lacrosse really take off big in Gloucestershire.
